Discover Extraordinary Adventure and Entertainment at Adrena Red Sea

Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia launched Adrena, a striking new adventure and entertainment destination set within the natural splendour of the Red Sea coastline. Adrena brings together sport, adventure, and a wide range of leisure experiences designed to appeal to every age and every taste, offering 24 distinct activities across both land and sea. The destination occupies an expansive standalone site equivalent in size to sixteen football pitches, and sits just 20 minutes from the resorts of Shura Island and 30 minutes from Red Sea International Airport.

A Name Born of Energy and Imagination

Adrena embodies a spirit of movement, adventure, and imagination. Its name draws together three ideas: adrenaline, the openness of an arena, and the realisation of a dream, fusing them into a single word that captures the essence of the destination. Adrena is managed and operated by Red Sea Sports and Entertainment Company, a subsidiary of Red Sea Global, which is dedicated to delivering world-class tourism and entertainment experiences across the wider Red Sea destination.

Land and Sea Facilities, Designed to Lead

Adrena offers a number of standout facilities, several of which are the first of their kind in the Kingdom. Chief among them is a 215-metre surf pool, the largest in Saudi Arabia, engineered to replicate the movement of natural waves at heights of up to 2.1 metres. The pool incorporates advanced wave technology suited to every level of ability, from complete beginners to seasoned professionals.

The destination's activities are organised across distinct categories, each offering its own character and pace.

  • Water-Based Activities extend well beyond surfing to include a dedicated wakeboarding lake, marked snorkelling routes, a six-metre diving pool, a family-friendly water play area, an over-water zipline experience, and a water-based obstacle challenge zone.
  • Land and Beach Activities offer an equally varied programme, including cliff jumping, an over-water zipline course, BMX off-road cycling trails, "slip and fly" inflatable slides, obstacle courses, and dedicated courts for beach sports such as football and volleyball.
  • Entertainment Facilities are anchored by a social hub featuring a beach club, live music platforms, food carts and kiosks, and a diverse offering of culinary experiences and inventive beverages, ensuring there is as much to enjoy off the sand as on it.

Sustainability at the Heart of the Destination

Red Sea International has been deliberate in developing Adrena in line with the principles of Vision 2030, which sets out ambitious targets for sustainability across Saudi Arabia. The destination operates on sustainable systems throughout, including seawater treatment and recycling technologies integrated directly into its facilities, with fresh water reserved exclusively for irrigation. This approach reflects a broader commitment to environmental stewardship that runs through the wider Red Sea development, ensuring that growth in tourism does not come at the expense of the natural environment that makes the destination so compelling in the first place.

A New Landmark on the Global Tourism Map

Adrena represents one of the most exciting tourism destinations to emerge in the region in recent years, and its arrival further strengthens Saudi Arabia's position on the global map of entertainment and adventure tourism. It stands as a clear expression of the ambition driving the Kingdom's wider tourism strategy, one that looks beyond any single destination towards a broader vision of development, sustainable growth, and economic diversification.

This ambition sits firmly within the framework of Vision 2030, which continues to position Saudi Arabia's cities, and increasingly its coastlines, as world-class destinations for living, tourism, leisure, business, and investment. Adrena is, in many respects, a microcosm of that wider story: a destination built from nothing into something genuinely world-class, in a part of the country that, until recently, few outside the region would have considered a global tourism hotspot. As the Red Sea project continues to take shape, destinations like Adrena offer an early and tangible glimpse of what the Kingdom's broader tourism ambitions look like once realised, not as abstractions on a strategy document, but as places people can visit, experience, and enjoy today.
